Pro Arbeit organized a successful multiplier national event in Darmstadt as part of the Hessischer Grunderpreis 2023. This annual gathering attracts entrepreneurs and corporations, providing a platform to celebrate innovative ideas and projects. Pro Arbeit’s initiative not only showcased the achievements of our broader program but also brought the Green Angels Project to the forefront of discussions, making a significant impact on the sustainability dialogue.

The Green Angels Project, took center stage at the event with a dedicated panel discussion titled, “Sustainability and Green Business – a Task for the Public Sector!?: Presentation of Concrete Examples and Discussion on Perspectives.” This insightful session delved into the importance of sustainability in the public sector and explored real-life examples of successful green projects.

The panel discussion addressed the crucial question: “How can public institutions be eco-friendlier and more sustainable?” Real-life examples of successful green projects, including the Green Angels Project, were examined to provide tangible insights into achieving sustainability goals. The discussion aimed to offer advice and ideas for public institutions, such as Job Centers and employment agencies, on adopting eco-friendly practices.

The discussion was enriched by the presence of distinguished panelists who shared their expertise and insights. With Amira Bieber`s (Pro Arbeit) moderation –Boris Berner, CEO of Pro Arbeit, Markus Weidner, CEO of KIZ SINNOVA gGmbH, and Prof. Dr. Klaus Ahrend, CEO of HEAG Holding AG, offered valuable perspectives on the role of public institutions and companied in fostering eco-friendly practices.

The project’s success was a focal point for the conversation, highlighting its impact and the lessons learned for the benefit of other organizations and institutions.

We would like to notify you that a training of trainers event, known as the learning, teaching, and training activity (LTTA), took place in the charming city of Larnaca, Cyprus, between 7th and 9th of June 2023 as part of the Green Angels project.

The training was hosted by the Cypriot project partner PCX Management, with active participation of 36,6 Centrum Kompetencji, Associazione NET, Solution: Solidarité & Inclusion and Pro Arbeit Kreis Offenbach (AöR). Spanish partner institution ACE participated online.

During the three-day training, we introduced the participants to and jointly tested the various educational tools developed as part of the project:

  • e-learning platform
  • training materials (in the form of online courses)
  • an interactive web portal aimed at associating Green Angels with people in need of their services/support.

As a reminder, the Green Angels project supports migrants’ professional retraining or development of their basic skills, and consequently their establishment of socially oriented businesses. To this end, a new professional development path will be created in the form of an online course platform. In this way, we will achieve the dual goal of increasing migrants’ employability and meeting the needs of their local communities.

Day 2 and 3 of the Green Angels project train the trainers activity was dedicated to learning how to comprehensively manage the interactive web portal, whose mission is to provide a FREE advertising and communication platform, enabling the association of Green Angels with people in need of their services/support. Under the guidance of experts from PCX Management, we taught ourselves and others:

  • how to register on the platform as users
  • how to register on the platform as company/business owners
  • how to create comprehensive ads for potential businesses, e.g. cleaning, pet care, basic housework, etc.
  • how to edit created ads, add multimedia (photos, videos and sound files)
  • how to create networks of connections by liking other profiles, ads, adding reviews and comments

More information about the platform and a link to it will be available after the development of the language versions of each participating country.

Green Ambassador is an individual who addresses environmental issues that adversely impact human health and well-being, and who actively empower others to get involved.

The term “Green Ambassadors” is used by environmental and environmental organizations to refer to educational programs aimed at schoolchildren and teachers whose main objective is environmental protection. However, Green Ambassadors are also real people of flesh and blood. One of the most active organizations in promoting these programs and values is WWF.

Green Angles NEWSLETTER (May 2022)

About Erasmus+

Erasmus+ is the EU’s programme to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe. The 2021-2027 programme places a strong focus on social inclusion, the green and digital transitions, and promoting young people’s participation in democratic life.

On 21st and 22nd of March 2022, the Green Angels Partners met for the first time in presence during the Kick-Off Meeting in Dreieich. It was a great opportunity for exchange and debate among all partners. The goal of the meeting was to discuss project management issues and to further develop the work on the intellectual outputs. On the first day partners focused on project management issues, and discussed for example the monitoring activities, the dissemination plan and financial management issues. It was a long day and partners worked hard to align their views on the various topics.

The second day was dedicated to specify the requirement for the pathway development, with the aim to agree on a first outline of modules and content through creative group work. First of all, the design and technical preconditions for the web portal were discussed. This was necessary as all the content developed will eventually be uploaded and accessible online through the dedicated web portal.

The main work of the day consisted of creative group work, to develop a structure and preliminary content ideas for the pathway. This brainstorming session in small groups was facilitated by Pro Arbeit project staff. On the basis of results from a previous online brainstorming meeting, Partners worked creatively to further develop, organize and fill the pathway with relevant content. Results of this creative work were visualized on blackboards around the conference room and served as a very good basis for a first draft of a table of contents of the pathway.  It was a very productive session that partners very much enjoyed.

Finally, the meeting was concluded with agreements on dates and times of further, upcoming meetings online and the next TPM in Paris. The meeting was fruitful and achieved its objectives. Partners could exchange ideas and opinions and align their views on management and implementation of the intellectual outputs, specifically the pathway and the web portal. Partners were also able to network and build constructive work relations. Overall it was a successful meeting that partner enjoyed very much participating in. We are all looking forward to the next TMP in Paris and for continued highly professional collaboration on our Green Angels project.
